Live painting at the VIVE Bridal Show

I felt like I was entering a Hollywood stage set as I parked my car and hauled my painting gear through the rear entrance to the magnificent Boca Raton Resort and Club. This elegant bridal show, sponsored by Vive Magazine, was well attended by soon-to-be-brides and wedding industry professionals, who I'm sure felt as lucky as me to attend an event in this beautiful and historic venue.

Chamber Gala

Last week I painted live at the annual Gala for the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce held at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach. This is a fabulous venue for special events as well as a great place to play croquet. It's open to the public for brunch and dinner and free croquet lessons on Saturdays. This was a spur-of-the moment opportunity to paint and was great exposure to the community. The painting sold at auction. Thanks to Sandy for her support.

Tere's 50th Birthday Party

I delivered this painting to Tere earlier in the week. Her extravanganza of a birthday party on Oct. 3, 2009, at the Josephine S. Leiser Opera Center in Ft. Lauderdale, took on a Hollywood theme of movies and movie stars. She looks like a little girl at a very sophisticated adult party, which is the image that came to me as I watched her greet and mingle with friends and family. Guests were thoroughly entertained by Marilyn Monroe, a fabulous DJ, a trio of beautiful lady singers, high energy dancing, a caricaturist, photo booth, a chocolate station, I could go on. Event expertly planned and organized by Ana Cruz http://www.anacruz.com/.

What happened to my Blog???

Something happened and I can't access my previous blog, so I must start anew, and maybe that's a good thing.
